About me
Hi, my name is Laura. I’m a Brit currently based in South East England and a specialist in intercultural communication. I have been translating German and Spanish documents into English and offering a review service on a freelance basis since 2013. I craft texts that build bridges across cultural divides for my clients, allowing for seamless communication and mutual understanding.
My academic qualifications include an M.A. in Audiovisual Translation from the University of Leeds and a B.A. Hons in German and Spanish from the University of Liverpool. As of early 2020, I also work as an editor and writer, producing eloquent texts that meet your needs as the client and increase your impact, whether with blog posts, articles or digital content.
I returned to the UK in 2021, having spent many years living abroad, namely in Cuba, Spain and—most recently—Germany, where I lived for 6 years. The time I have spent immersed in foreign cultures has enabled me to gain a far-reaching understanding of the challenges and intricacies of intercultural communication. Over the years I have mastered the art of connecting cultures through written language.
